All cruises include on-board commentary with a strong cultural element. Cruises only operate in the first, second and third gorges of the system. Gorges are separated by natural rock barriers, therefore walking between the gorges is required on all tours to change boats. The walk-ways are man-made, however are uneven in areas as they follow the natural contours of the bush landscape. The pathways include steps with handrails. A moderate level of mobility is required.

This self-guided option is a great way to explore multiple gorges according to your own itinerary. This is certainly a visual treat for the nature lover with the experienced canoeist able to reach the fourth Nitmiluk gorge. Explore the history, culture and stories of the Traditional Landowners, the Jawoyn People aboard a covered flat-bottomed safari boat with a maximum of 16 guests. Journey along the first gorge on the river taking in the majestic sandstone sheer walls extending more than 70 metres high. Travel to exclusive and spectacular scenic sites along the gorge system with commentary at each location from your knowledgeable guide's perspective. This cruise is educational and also interactive and can include basket weaving,
didgeridoo playing, spear throwing and storytelling. Can include a swim depending on river levels and
