In 2.5 hours you will visit the major historic sites in the city, see a little contemporary street art and significant sculptures and take a brief stroll through the City Botanic Gardens, before returning to the heart of the city along tree lined streets, once home to Brisbane's original Chinatown. You will stop along the way to enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea) in one of our hidden laneway cafes. This easy walking tour, with a professional local guide, is a must do for those who don't have the time for the longer City Essentials tour, but don't want to miss a unique view of Brisbane. Food tasting may be offered on the tour - these may include coffees, cakes, nuts. On this walk you'll discover a mix of 40 works created by over 30 artists. You will be shown the best sculpture, design, murals and architectural features in the CBD a mix of contemporary commissions, historical sculpture, rogue street art and building facades. You'll hear the story behind each piece and pick up some great tips on eating, drinking and art galleries to visit. You'll finish at the internationally renowned Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art just in time for you to grab lunch and enjoy the rest of your day.
